Cassidy Jakovickas, President and CEO

Cassidy Jakovickas is a Certified Public Accountant with a background in tax, auditing, financial statement preparation, and specialty tax credit services.

Cassidy graduated from California State University, Fresno where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was actively involved with the university and community. He served as President of Beta Alpha Psi and organized many community service events during his time at Fresno State.

After graduating, Cassidy began his career as an auditor with Deloitte where he served large public and private businesses. Subsequently, he worked at two local firms where he provided a full range of services to clients including assurance services, tax planning and preparation, financial statement preparation, and specialty tax services. As a CPA, Cassidy’s ultimate focus is providing value-added services that clients truly need. He aims to provide information to businesses that allow them to make smart and timely decisions. Cassidy has a vested interest in his client’s success.

Cassidy is married and has a young daughter. He enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.

Edie Daly, Accounting Manager

Edie Daly is an experienced accountant who has worked in both private industries, as a Controller in the manufacturing and retail industry, and in public accounting, as a Staff Accountant. She has over 20 years of accounting experience and comes from a family of CPA’s. She has been with our company since January and is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Currently she is completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Phoenix. Once completed, she plans to complete her CPA certification. In addition to individual and business tax preparation, her expertise includes QuickBooks setup and use; payroll, sales tax, and helping small businesses design and implement effective accounting systems.

In her free time she enjoys going to the beach and reading.

Nancy Xiong, Tax Accountant

Nancy Xiong is a Tax Accountant and has over eight years of experience in tax preparation and accounting for individuals, businesses, including nonprofit organizations, and trusts in CPA firms. She also has experience in compilation, tax credit, and sales tax preparation. She is bilingual in Hmong and has been serving the Hmong community for over a year now. Nancy is a graduate from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She served as the Vice President for Institute of Managerial Accountancy (IMA).

Riccardo Vallejo, Bookkeeper

Riccardo Vallejo is a Staff Accountant that has been with MBS for over three years. During which time he has grown into his roles handling responsibilities as bookkeeper, payroll processor, individual and business tax preparation, software implementation, nonprofit reinstatement and compliance filings, and client relations. He is well versed in Quickbooks, Accounts Payable, and Receipt management software.

Riccardo returned to school after 17 years and graduated from California State University, Fresno where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy. He is now studying for the CPA exam with the goal of becoming licensed by the end of 2018.

Riccardo is going on 17 years of marriage and has 5 sons. His down time is spent with family, reading, gaming and volunteering with various organizations in the community. He enjoys reading books on psychology, behavior analysis and spirituality. Some mottos that capture his philosophy are: “It isn’t failure if you don’t quit” -Various, “If you’re not making mistakes, you’re not trying hard enough” –Vince Lombardi, “People do what they are shown; not what they are told”-Various, and “Success is a byproduct of helping others achieve their goals” –Zig Ziglar.

Cathy Peck , CPA and Project Specialist

Cathy Peck is an exceptionally versatile accounting professional and educator. She is a CPA with experience in auditing, tax, financial statement preparation, business management/advisory services with a specialty in non-profit organization, governance, management and tax.

As a former business owner and advisor, she can support and assist small businesses at all levels of accounting and management activities. She brings extensive non-profit service – both professionally and as a volunteer. Cathy was a founding board member of Engineering World Health and has served the organization from the ground up in various capacities including: Executive Director, Treasurer and President. She continues to serve on the Finance and Development Committees. She served the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis as a board member and Finance Committee Chair where she designed and implemented the foundation’s first financial and donor management system.

Formerly employed by Perry-Smith & Co, Coopers & Lybrand (Pricewaterhouse Coopers) and through her own private practice, Cathy has broad experience in auditing and tax, including estates and trusts. She earned her BS in Accounting from University of Arizona and her Masters in Accounting (Tax Concentration) from University of Memphis. She has taught accounting as an adjunct instructor from beginning principles to MBA level courses and currently teaches at Fresno Pacific University. Her passion is helping non-profit organizations achieve their mission and grow their programs by developing solid financial and governance structure. She is a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and especially enjoys helping both businesses and non-profits set up and organize their financial operations.

Cathy and her husband enjoy travel and their pets now that they are close to launching their third child. With a dog, cat, parrot and saltwater fish, their home can’t really be considered an empty-nest.

Khanh Nguyen , Accounting Intern


Khanh Nguyen is a Fall 2017 graduate of California State University, Fresno where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy. He was highly involved on campus as Roger CPA Review’s student ambassador and took on many committee roles in Beta Alpha Psi up until his last semester where he served as President. He was also very involved, along with the other club members, in making our community a better place through various volunteering events.

Khanh is currently studying for the CPA exam and hopes to pass all four sections before starting his career as an Audit Staff with Deloitte in San Jose, CA on September 2018.

In his free time, Khanh enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, being outdoors, listening to podcasts and music, traveling, and trying new food.
